Il 12 e 13 dicembre si è svolto a Milano SIOS 2022 Winter Edition, in collaborazione con l'Università Bocconi. In tale contesto è stata selezionata la "Startup of the Year 2022". L' Avv. Gregorio Salatino ha partecipato all'evento in qualità di componente della giuria. Facciamo i complimenti a tutte le startup che hanno partecipato all'evento, hanno presentato tutte dei progetti di grande interesse. In particolare, tantissimi complimenti ad Unobravo | Servizio di psicologia online, Startup of the Year 2022.

For space-law / space economy enthusiasts, we are happy to announce that the German legal journal "Zeitschrift für Luft- und Weltraumrecht" has just released Gregorio Salatino's latest article on the topic "Space Economy - A Legal Framework" (Salatino, ZLW, 2022, 3, 417 ff.). This article, with some changes and additions, expands on a speech that Gregorio gave on February 10, 2022, at the webinar arranged in order to start-up the new space law department in our law firm. The webinar was arranged in collaboration with ESA BIC Turin, Canadian Institute for International Law Expertise (CIFILE) and AIMBA Associazione Italiana degli MBAs. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them once again for their support. Space law is entering a new era. Until recently only States were supposed to carry out space activities. But now private companies are taking the stage, thus enhancing the "space economy". The article deals with the main space law issues. If you want to read it, please contact us!

On 30 June 2022, in Florence, Avv. Gregorio Salatino participated in the SIOS 2022 Summer Edition and organized by Startup Italia. In particular, Atty. Gregorio Salatino acted as a mentor for the legal profiles during the bootstrap organized by Nana Bianca. Furthermore, he was part of the jury that chose, among the five finalists, the most promising startup in the NFT, metaverse and web3 sector.

On 15 June 2022, at 17:45, in Milan, at the Sicilia Library (Via Sacco n. 14 - De Angeli metro), Gregorio Salatino will be a speaker at the conference on the theme: "The invasion of Ukraine under the lens of international". Since last February 24, the events of the war in Ukraine have entered the daily life of each of us. In the various television programs we listen to the opinions of journalists, politicians, geopolitical, military and historian analysts. Until now, however, no space has been given to experts in international law. The purpose of this conference is therefore to analyze the events in Ukraine in the light of international law, to learn a still unknown point of view (although it is, in our opinion, the "decisive" one). It will not be a meeting for legal experts, but for ordinary people. During the conference, Gregory will explain the principles of international law applicable to the events in Ukraine in a clear and simple way, so that all participants can follow and understand the exposition. Participation in the conference is free. To book, read the flyer below. We thank the Milan Library System and the Municipality of Milan for their willingness to support this initiative.

The webinar on the topic "Space Economy. A Legal Framework" aims at examining the basic principles that govern activities in space. Starting from an historic standpoint, the lecturer will explain how the principles stated in international treaties have developed, also showing their current inefficiency. More in detail, the webinar focuses on the issues concerning the "geostationary orbit", the principles of non-appropriation (in particular, is it possible to pull out minerals from celestial bodies for commercial purposes?) and the "trouble" of space debris . The event description and the link to join the webinar is available here: https://www.esabic-turin.it/news-and-events/space-economy-a-legal-framework

The journal Giurisprudenza Commerciale, in no. 5/2021, published the article by Gregorio Salatino on the topic: "The "guarantee pact" in the contracts for the sale of shareholdings: practice and evolution" (page 996/I and following). The article reproduces, with additions and additions, the report that Gregorio Salatino gave on May 2, 2020 during the inaugural webinar of the law firm Avv. Gregorio Salatino - Studio Legale. In particular, we point out the question of the applicability to the "declarations and guarantees" of provisions dictated on the subject of insurance contracts, and/or principles deriving from those provisions. Clauses are often included in the contracts to overcome the "pitfalls" deriving from the application of the code legislation on the subject of buying and selling. In reality, it would be necessary to "come to terms" (even or rather) with the legislation dictated on the subject of insurance contracts, given that the "declarations and guarantees" are a risk allocation pact. The issues dealt with are certainly complex and partly still unexplored. But the article is written in simple language, and is understandable even for the less experienced.

On August 24, 2021 "The Philanthropist Journal" published my article on the topic "Social business: A tool to redesign capitalism". (click here to read it).

This article expands on a speech that I gave during a conference held in Dubai on March 17, 2021, on the same topic.

This is not a "strictly" law article, I also deal with economics and philosophy. Mostly, this is an attempt to foster social business and impact investing.

A special thanks goes to Professor Muhammad Yunus for his inspiring theories and continuing effort in this field

On April 14, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. (CET) Avv. Gregorio Salatino - Studio Legale is offering a free webinar on the topic: "Social Business: A Tool To Redesign Capitalism".

The speaker of the conference is our founder Mr. Gregorio Salatino.

Please find here the zoom link to follow the conference: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84641487634

As Professor Yunus said, poverty is not created by poor people. Poverty “is created by an economic system in which all the resources tend to keep surging up toward the top, creating an ever-expanding mushroom head of wealth belonging to only one percent of the people” (M. YUNUS, A World of Three Zeroes, London, 2018, p. 48).

The current economic system has shown to be a flawed one. It has failed in spreading a general well-being, while it has exacerbated inequalities. How can we fix it?

Social business can be an appropriate tool to redesign capitalism.

The conference is a "mix" of legal aspects, economy and philosophy. Starting from the features of a social business, we will expand our view to our current economic model in an attempt to "redesign it". Since an economic model is built by men, it has to mirror human nature. Consequently, we will also focus on human nature.

The conference will be held in English language. esto di esempio
